Recent news: Beloved Bob Barker is retiring at the age of 83 in June. What on earth on we going to do with out the price is right? Ugh, this makes me very sad. He was the host of this show for 35 yrs. (whoa)
Since The Price Is Right premiered Sept. 4, 1972, with Barker enticing people for the first time to "come on down," he has only missed three episodes (back in 1974). The longest running game show on the air is currently on in two half-hour installments every weekday, with the later one averaging 5.5 million viewers a day, per Nielsen Media Research....(found that info on E online)
The thing that upsets me more than the show ending is me not being able to decorate a crazy shirt, going to that studio, and listening to those sweet sweet words...Come on down!..haha
