Woodson Giving Back
Charles Woodson, defensive back for the Green Bay Packers, is having one of the best seasons of his career this year. However, he wants to be known for something other than football when he retires. He did this by donating $2-million to the new University of Michigan Mott Children's Hospital and Women's Hospital. The announcement came right before the Packers played the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving, where Woodson had 2 interceptions, a forced fumble, and a sack. Woodson's donation will go towards pediatric research for the new hospital that is scheduled to open in 2012. Very little of the national budget goes towards this fund, so the donation will be very helpful. It's good to see that there are still celebrities out there that still care about someone other than themselves.
