300

I went to see the movie 300 at the Union Theater, which is about the 300 Spartans that faced thousands of Persians for three days, and inspired the rest of Greece to unite and drive them back. First off, whatever else you might say about it, the movie is visually amazing. Everything was done if front of a screen, and there's not a hair out of place in the entire movie I swear. I mean that pretty much everything besides the actors is done by computer: the background, the locations, animals, arrows, etc. That in itself is incredible. Plus there's plenty of eye candy for everyone. The movie doesn't shoot for realism, and it glorifies a war without moral ambiguity. So you can expect to her a lot about the ideas of how freedom isn't free, and the very warlike culture and mentality of the Spartans. After we walked out, my boyfriend joked that he expected there to be a military recruiter outside the door. So if you want a visually perfect, over the top movie with great fight scenes, sex scenes, and no moral qualms about war, go see it.
